Dear Parent/Guardian,

In partnership with Designathon Works and the Montreal Centre for Learning Disabilities, McGill Beyond Me invites your child to participate in the Global Children’s Designathon (GCD) 2022: Our Planet, Our Future! Take a look at last year's event here and the attachment for further details.

This is a reverse integration workshop. Intended and adapted for children with learning disabilities, ADHD and mild autism, but neurotypical siblings and close friends ages 8-14 are invited to join as well!

It is free and in-person! On April 9th from 10am-4pm at the Greene Avenue Community Center (1090 Greene Ave, Westmount, Quebec H3Z 1Z9), we will engage children to learn about the climate change crisis, develop thoughtful solutions, collaborate in groups, connect with other children from around the world, and recognize they are changemakers who can make a real difference.

When: Saturday, April 9th 2022, 10am-4pm

Where:  Greene Avenue Community Center (1090 Greene Ave, Westmount, Quebec H3Z 1Z9)

What: Free in-person learning and skill building event. Lunch, snacks and beverages provided. While this event can be competitive and take place over weeks, we opted for a one day non-competitive event.

Since this is the first time we are hosting this event, we are inviting a select number of children to join. Registration is limited to 20-25 children, 1:1 volunteer facilitation present. Parents are invited to join us for the last hour for a presentation of children's ideas/solutions.
